Assistance to the COPEM association – Martinique

The aim of this Association created in 2019 is ” Modernisons pour une pêche responsable et durable “

The pollution of coastal areas by chlordecone is forcing us to rethink fishing areas and methods in Martinique. The Association wishes to support several fishing modernization and development projects (fleet and processing) aimed at improving the incomes of players in this sector and strengthening the attractiveness of these professions to young people are targeted.

To this end, she has enlisted the support of Odyssée.

OUR MISSION :

Our expertise has been accompanying the COPEM team (fishermen’s collective for the modernization of the artisanal fleet) Development since February 2019 by providing administrative and strategic support to the association :

• Administrative and legal structure
• Project technical and financial feasibility analysis
• Mounting of presentation files to local authorities and funders
• Search for funding
• Co-organization of funded actions (study trip, safety equipment,…)
• Communication
