Context of the realization of a manufacturing plant
of cosmetic products for clarins in sainte-Savine (10)
Founded in 1954 by Jacques Courtin, Clarins is a global benchmark in the design and manufacture of high-end cosmetics, strongly committed to responsible beauty.
To support its development and ambition to double production, Clarins is looking to acquire a new production unit. It has entrusted the design of this future site of around 35,000 m² to the Elcimaï Group, its long-standing partner.
The construction site, launched in February 2023, is planned over 18 months for a production start-up scheduled for autumn 2024 and will ultimately represent an overall investment of around 135 million euros.

Project carried out on a 13.5-hectare plot in Sainte-Savine (10), within the Parc du Grand Troyes.
Elcimaï was responsible for the design and construction of the following functions :

- TECHNICAL PREMISES
- ADMINISTRATIVE PREMISES
- NETWORKS
- UTILITIES
- VOIRIES
Elcimaï also took care of all the administrative paperwork, including submitting and obtaining the building permit and registering the ICPE file. The project, which is scheduled to last 18 months, will mobilize a peak workforce of around 100 workers.
SOLUTIONS ECORESPONSIBLE
The site will be part of the Clarins group’s CSR commitments. It will meet HQE excellent (high environmental quality) and BREEAM Very good criteria. As a French company, the Clarins group has always chosen to favor “made in France” and short circuits.

Production is scheduled to begin in autumn 2024 : ultimately, the plant will enable a doubling of the group’s current production.
The proposed project will ensure the production and storage capacities requested by Clarins, secure the process, and will comply with the regulatory requirements applicable to a cosmetics workshop (BPFc, OTC, ICPE,…).
