MARKET STUDY VERTICAL VESSEL HANDLING ON THE ATLANTIC FACADE

SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTED

The survey carried out an inventory, between Bordeaux and South Finistère, of major shipbuilding and ship-repair sites equipped with handling equipment for ships with a capacity of over 250 tons according to different categories, linked mainly to ship size and activity. The latest innovations in the sector are described, as well as the lifespan of lifting tools.

At the end of the inventory and  taking into account PALR’s own indicated operating capacities, the appraisal proposed possible equipment and operating types that best meet market needs, as well as a market positioning strategy.

A feedback meeting was held at the PALR offices to present all the results to the study’s steering committee and stakeholders
