STUDY OF THE DEPOSIT OF END-OF-LIFE PLEASURE AND SPORTS BOATS (BPHU) IN VENDÉE

Mission description

The Energy Transition Act, published on August 17, 2015, requires the creation of an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) channel for pleasure boats. The Vendée department, where shipbuilding accounts for 30 % of industrial activity, wishes to define the terms of intervention to encourage the supply of BPHU to the dismantling channel.

SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTED

– Challenge no. 1 : Know the potential deposit (facilitate the decluttering of ports and optimize the use of yachting infrastructures).

– Challenge no. 2 : Ensure the smooth operation of marinas (define levers to respond to identified bottlenecks, determine the department’s role in intensifying boat dismantling.

– Challenge n°3 : Define the role of the département in encouraging the supply of old boats to the dismantling sector (define levers to respond to identified brakes, determine the role of the département in intensifying boat dismantling).
