SUPPORT FOR IMPROVED OPERATION OF THE NOUVILLE SLIPWAYS

Mission description

The Port Autonome de Nouvelle-Calédonie (PANC)owns two slipways, which it manages directly. Administratively, there are operating regulations, tariffs and a registration form. PANC provides a team dedicated to slipway operation (around 5 people).

The PANC has taken into account the risk of being sued for liability in the event of damage caused to a vessel during lifting operations and wished to be supported in a 2-step process of reflection :

1 – Analyze the responsibilities of stakeholders : port operator, diving company, shipowner

2 – Recommend operating procedures for each of the 2 tools, review pricing to get closer to the ” small equilibrium ” (operating costs) and apply the recommendations contractually (contractualization with companies external to the port and development of an approval procedure).
